Joni joined the firm in 2013 as an experienced Paralegal. She has attended the University of Texas at Austin and she earned her paralegal certification from Huston-Tillotson University in 2014. Joni is a tech-savvy native of Austin, Texas and a 2004 graduate of Akins High School. She brings over 11 years’ experience as a legal assistant with the County Judges & Commissioners Association of Texas and private practice. Joni is a paralegal member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, a member of the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas, an active member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, a member of the School Law & Construction Law Sections of the State Bar of Texas, a member of the Texas Bar College, an active member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, a member of the Women in Public Finance, Texas Chapter, a member of the National Association of Legal Administrators, a member of the Austin Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, is a voting member and Membership Chair of the Capital Area Paralegals Association. Joni assists in the training of vendors and school districts in the new Form 1295 disclosure requirements required by the Texas Ethics Commission. She is a Texas Notary Public and is Public Information Act and Texas Open Meetings Act certified through the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
